I have no idea what the original said--it was edited--but what I got was:

"These are requests for a fest, not an advertisement for fics you've written elsewhere. So please either save this fic for the fest, or post it elsewhere. Thanks."

I suppose that isn't /too/ snarky, but freezing the thread on top of it certainly made it seem so, as it didn't even give me a place to apologize. In her response to me she said it was no big deal, so I suppose I'll drop it.

I guess I'm still a little miffed, though, as I also found out today from the M_A list that jedi_news /will/ promote fics posted outside of LJ, but I could never get a straight answer on that even after asking three times, despite the fact one of the other mods went to bat and asked for me. It doesn't make sense. People complain that this fandom is winding down, but don't help each other out when they try to contribute to it.

*sigh*
